I’m interested! Now what?

Rehearsals are open to visitors and guests interested in membership.

We rehearse on Tuesdays starting at 7:15 pm in Raleigh at St. Giles Presbyterian Church on Oak Park Rd., just off Glenwood Ave. We gather at 7:15 for warmups and sing until about 10:00.

Planning to stop by? Be sure to check our Meetup page to confirm we’re meeting at our usual spot.

What to bring:

  • Casual clothes and comfy shoes (we’re on risers most of the night)

  • A bottle of water

  • Please skip perfume or scented products as some of our singers are sensitive to fragrance

What to expect:

Before rehearsal starts, our director will have a quick listen so we can pair you with an experienced singer on your part. After a few visits, if you’re ready to take the next step and audition, we’ll guide you every step of the way.

FAQs

  • Basic music reading skills are helpful, but you don’t need to be fluent in sight-reading or music theory to join. We use learning tracks along with sheet music to help members learn new songs. As an educational organization, we’re proud to offer opportunities for singers to grow their vocal and music literacy skills.

  • Monthly membership costs about the same as one venti latte a week! While there are some upfront and contest-related expenses, we do our best to keep costs manageable and minimize financial barriers to joining and participating.

  • No stress - we’ve got you covered! After your second visit, we’ll provide everything you need to prepare for the audition, including learning materials for the song. Our members are always happy to help outside of rehearsal, too. You’ll get all the details about the audition process when you come to your first visit.
